he Boston Fire Museum is dedicated to preserving and displaying fire-fighting memorabilia from the Greater Boston area.
It displays several antique fire vehicles; a hand-drawn American LaFrance Ladder Truck, circa 1860; a hand-drawn, hand-operated Button pumper Columbia, from 1863; two front wheel drive (formerly horse-drawn) Amoskeag steam pumpers, from 1882 and 1896; and a fully restored 1945 Ward LaFrance pumper (Engine 54).
The museum also exhibits antique fire apparatus, fire alarms and artifacts, and firefighting equipment. Since 1983 it has been housed in a landmark firehouse at 344 Congress Street, Boston. Fire Engine in Boston Fire Museum

The museum educates and informs the general public on fire safety, restores and maintains the firehouse, and provides support to the fire service.

It includes antique fire apparatus, tools, memorabilia, and documents originally collected by Arthur Fiedler.
