Jason Russell House, the jewel of The Arlington Historical
Society, is a four room 1740-farmhouse, and the only extant
dwelling from April 19, 1775 in which there was combat. British
Regulars retreating from Lexington and Concord killed Jason
Russell in the late afternoon on the doorstep defending his
home. The Regulars also killed eleven Minute Men in the house.
Bullet holes from that fateful day can still be seen.
